A new development milestone in the heart of Brazil. Inaugurated in 2007, CAOA Montadora is strategically located in the Agroindustrial District of Anápolis (DAIA, Distrito Agroindustrial de Anápolis), in Goiás, in order to transport production to an emerging production chain. It is the result of an initial investment of R$1.2 billion, with 100% equity. It has more than 174,000m2 of built area, and 1,500,000m2 of total area, with high technology, innovation, quality and sustainability in all sectors. In 2017, two international giants, Hyundai and CAOA CHERY, started to share the same structure, bringing more productivity and wealth to Brazil. Since then, production at our plant in Anápolis has not stopped growing, with new investments being planned year after year.
Technology, quality and respect for the environment. Our plant is highly complex and flexible, is largely robotic and has extremely careful and talented employees. The total volume of production is split between several different models, and the Center for Research and Energy Efficiency of Anápolis is proof that quality and technology are taken seriously by CAOA. In the environmental area, we have full control of industrial gas emissions and waste treatment. We have already reduced by 50% the use of water at the plant, through investments in production processes. We also have a water treatment station to reuse water, with a storage capacity of 6 million liters. In addition to all this, we also have an environmental reserve with typical Cerrado trees as part of our Environmental Management System.
